Singular · in development

Blood is your only resource.

A top-down action roguelike in pixel art. Doubt gets you killed. And it is the only way to break the loop.

You heal and reload by bathing in the blood you spill.

Standing still gets you killed. Enemies spawn based on your position, camping summons hordes, and almost every wall breaks. There are no safe corners: speed is survival.

Level 1 · internal build Handcrafted pixel art · minimal UI

Four systems, one idea.

Everything pushes you to attack. Everything you do leaves a mark.

Aggressive combat

Heal and reload only by spilling blood. Dash and OverClock chain attacks into a forward momentum that never stops.

Mastery

Overheat, Trauma and the perfect dodge: three interlocking systems. Easy to survive, brutal to master.

Bosses

Persistent Entities that stalk you across runs. Skip&Kill to skip a boss, or earn the one thing that can kill it for good.

Narrative in motion

A cryptic, reactive story told between fights, without breaking the flow. Many questions. Answering them is the player's job.

Read the fight, don't mash buttons.

Every decision mid-fight has consequences. High risk, high reward.

Overheat

Too long in OverClock damages and stuns Ari. It forces a decision mid-fight.

Trauma

A percentage of the damage you take can't be healed for a few seconds. Mistakes matter. Perfect dodges and melee kills reduce it.

Ari chaining a perfect dodge into an OverClock combo

Perfect dodge

A frame-perfect dash chained with OverClock opens a combo window. It reduces Trauma and Overheat. High risk, high reward.

Andromeda, a Persistent Entity, entering the room mid-fight

Bosses don't wait for you in their room.

Persistent Entities

Roaming super-bosses that can enter any room. Enormous health; they leave after a few seconds. You meet them again and again across runs, wearing them down bit by bit.

Skip&Kill

When a boss room appears, you can skip it to reach harder rooms and better loot. Go deep enough, win a special encounter and earn an Oxidiser: the only way to permanently kill that level's boss.

A world you feel before you understand it.

World and tone

Vast, empty, abandoned. Melancholy, biology and machinery. Ancient technology that no longer serves anyone.

Scale

Enormous bosses. Enormous stages. Enormous amounts of time.

Style

Handcrafted pixel art. The living and the dead, the physical and the ethereal.

Minimal interface

No panels cluttering the screen. What you see is the world.

Ari, the AI that must save humanity. Will she grow ever more human, or drift away from us?

The story takes place in an empty world abandoned by humans, who have plugged themselves into The Net to flee pain and war.

Humanity's protectors have rebelled against it for some mysterious reason, and Ari's duty is to save it.

Can she do it? Should humanity be saved? Is there anything left to save in a world that has already abandoned itself?
